FOR STUDENTS
Research, guidance and preparation.
This page is intended for students seeking academic guidance for undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations, as well as for those who wish to strengthen their theoretical and quantitative background in economics.
Undergraduate & Postgraduate Dissertations
I can provide academic guidance for research projects that are closely related to my research and academic fields. Support may include the formulation of the research question, methodological design, data selection and processing, econometric analysis, interpretation of results, and feedback on academic writing.
Subject relevance
The project should have a clear connection with economics, agricultural economics, food security, political economy, finance or applied quantitative analysis.
Research question
Before beginning, there should be at least an initial research idea or a clearly defined problem that the student wishes to investigate.
Data & methodology
For empirical projects, access to suitable data should be feasible and the study should allow for a clear, rigorous and reproducible methodological approach.
Timeframe
A serious research project cannot be properly organised within only a few days. A realistic timetable and gradual progress are therefore essential.
BEFORE CONTACTING ME
- Describe your topic. A short description of approximately 5–10 lines is sufficient for an initial assessment.
- State your programme and level of study. Please indicate whether this is an undergraduate dissertation, postgraduate dissertation or another research project.
- State your deadline. The amount of available time significantly affects the type and extent of guidance that can realistically be provided.
- Provide information about available data. If you already have a dataset, questionnaire or a specific data source in mind, please mention it from the outset.
- The research remains your own work. You should be able to explain, defend and reproduce every step of your analysis.
Guidance does not include writing or submitting an undergraduate or postgraduate dissertation on behalf of the student. The aim is to provide academic support, strengthen methodological understanding and help students develop the skills required to conduct their own research.
Free Preparation & Academic Support
Would you like to strengthen your foundations first?
I maintain a separate educational website providing free study and preparation material. It is intended both for university students who wish to strengthen their foundations before moving on to more advanced courses or research work, and for upper-secondary school students.
If your proposed topic meets the above criteria, you may send me a short description through the contact page.
